As well as concerts, you’ll find all this at Cruïlla
Festival Cruïlla is more than music. It’s an experience with art, gastronomy, fashion, technology, wellbeing and a social and environmental commitment that means that everything makes sense.
You already know which concerts you’ll find at the festival. Now, you can discover the whole experience.
Art all around
Cruïlla is much more than music, Cruïlla is art!
One of the great stars of Cruïlla each year is the Estrella Damm stage, designed by Lluís Danés. For another year, we can enjoy Danés’ talent and handicraft, used to build a gigantic installation with an under the sea theme.
What’s more, we’ll have the show Dreams from the legendary company La Fura dels Baus, and the popular fire and music festival Aquelarre de Cervera. The performance arts will be rounded off with dance, aerial dance and theatre shows that you’ll find as you wander around the festival.
Once again, we’ll have a space for urban art where a series of artists will paint the festival headliners. If you want to meet our team of urban artists, click HERE.
Everyone can eat well
At the festival, you’ll find a series of food trucks coordinated by White Summer, with a wide range of cuisines.
This year, we wanted to have a bigger and better range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free food. Plus, we wanted this to be easy to find.
As a new addition to this year’s festival, you’ll also be able to find quality coffee.

Technology, make it easy for me
We’re continuing to use the cashless wristband system, a payment method that prevents queues and increases security. You simply charge your wristband from home, using the app or at the festival ticket booths, and pay for what you wish to consume. Afterwards, whatever you haven’t spent will be automatically returned without commission. You can find out more about your wristband and charge it HERE.
From 12 June, the Cruïlla App will be available with all the relevant timetables and information. A new addition this year is that the application will include a virtual reality game. Do you remember Pokémon? Now, you will need to find Gaudí dragons hidden around the festival!
Other new technological facilities at Cruïlla 2018 are the areas with free Wi-Fi and mobile phone charging areas, as well as a gaming area which will amaze you.
We’re fashion forward
The White Summer festival will coordinate two fashion areas: the Lifestyle area, where you’ll find brands that identify with a specific lifestyle, and the Market area, where you’ll find more artisanal, local and fair-trade products. What’s more, this year we’re introducing the festival’s own merchandise.
So you don’t have to carry your purchases around the festival, there will be a home delivery service. Easy and cheap.
Let’s take care of ourselves!
For another year, we’ll have a space designed for massages and beauty thanks to the professionals from Treatwell.
Plus, this year, the attendees who stay until 3 am will receive a refreshing pack with juice and fruit.
Social responsibility
This isn’t just another part of the festival, but a section in itself that means that everything we’ve announced makes sense.
This year, Cruïlla is working with Obra Social Sant Joan de Déu. When you purchase your ticket to Cruïlla, you have the opportunity to make a donation to Obra Social Sant Joan de Déu music therapy programmes.
The social commitment continues with other measures we want to put in place so that families come to the festival. That’s why children under 15 (inclusive) enter for free. As a new addition for this year, we also have a Kids Area for the youngest attendees.
Don’t forget that we also offer a series of discounts for groups, such as discounts for unemployed people or for those accompanying people with reduced mobility.
Another part of our social commitment is our support of Barcelona City Council’s No Callem protocol, designed to detect and deal with any incidence of violence against women. Our staff will receive the necessary training and we will have a designated point for information and assistance.
Environmental responsibility
This isn’t just another part of the festival, but a section in itself that means that everything we’ve announced makes sense.
We want to highlight our most innovative and most exciting environmental proposal. Festival Cruïlla will be the first big festival in Spain and one of the few in the world that will use 100% biodegradable cups. We’re working to reduce plastic to a minimum within the festival and we’re setting off an environmental trend that’s just beginning. You can find out more about the bio-cup HERE.
Halfway between our commitment to society and to the environment is mobility. We’ve made an agreement with TRAM to extend the tram service to limit the need to bring the car. On Thursday until 2 am and on Friday and Saturday, all night.
To help you go back home, you’ll also find shuttle buses from the festival to Plaça de Catalunya. These buses will operate from 11PM to 01:15AM on Thursday, July 12th and from 01AM to 05AM on Friday and Saturday. Every 20 minutes.
