The first big festival with 100% biodegradable cups

Waste is a major issue in any festival, specially plastic waste related to the huge amount of plastic cups that we use.

We aim to reduce the environmental impact of our festival, that’s why we are proud to announce that every single cup you will find in Cruïlla will be a 100% biodegradable! 

The bio-cup, developed by Estrella Damm, is a container that looks just like a traditional cup: it even bends like plastic, but it’s not plastic!

It is produced with polylactic acid, a material derived from vegetal raw materials. Our cup was made with corn plant and other vegetal materials, and this is why you will be able to dispose your cup in the organic waste bin after using it.

If you have allergies to wheat or any other material, you don’t need to worry! The materials of the bio-cup go through such high temperatures that the final product doesn’t induce any kind of allergies.

We just turned Cruïlla into the first big festival in Spain and one of the few in the world to use 100% biodegradable cups.
