Joe la Reina, the bravest Spanish indie band
Psychedelic Folk? Experimental rock? We cannot decide for any label. They are Joe la Reina. And each one of their songs is a journey that starts and ends in very different places.
Joe la Reina was born when five friends from Donostia retreated in the countryside to compose songs. And, after some years, it still seems that all of their music was born like this: at the foot of a mountain, in a small house with no internet connection.
The last album is called Esas nuevas modas. There’s room for pop, electronic music and latin rhythms. And for lyrics that confront complex issues, such as the search of self-fulfillment, doubts and fear to conformity.
All these reasons lead us to believe this is one of the bravest Spanish indie bands. Because of this, and also because we know they take care of their live set with artisan love, we are thrilled to have them in Cruïlla.
