Born in Sarajevo in 1950, he has traveled the world with his vibrant music, fusing Balkan folk roots with an electrifying explosion that shakes the ground. From 1966, when he started playing bass in the band Bestije, to his legendary soundtrack for ‘Time of the Gypsies‘ by Kusturica, Bregovic has been the architect of a sound that transcends cultures and borders, a true sonic journey.
With his electrifying live performances, he seamlessly blends tradition and modernity, creating an unmistakable fusion: passionate Bulgarian voices, powerful brass fanfares that call for joy, and the frantic beat of a bass drum leading an unstoppable celebration.
