One of the most international artists to come out of Spanish indie-pop
Music changes, but talent remains. About a decade ago, Carlos Sadness started demonstrating his youthful voice in the hip-hop circuit, but his style shifted towards indie rock when this Barcelona born musician began to find himself. The albums Ciencias celestes and La idea salvaje, with refreshing rhythms and a powerful combination of pop and acoustic sounds, showcase his poetic and personal talent which have gained him a legion of followers on both sides of the Atlantic.
Recently, Carlos Sadness published an illustrated book, entitled Anatomías íntimas (“Intimate Anatomies”) and has collaborated with Caloncho to produce the delightful song “Amor papaya”. And despite the fact that his work will be centred on South America this year, the artist hasn’t passed up the opportunity to share his music with Cruïlla.
